RANGAANTARANGA is an Audio CD containing 13 Konkani devotional songs penned by the late R.Ranganatha Prabhu (1898-1952) of Purakkad, Kerala. Although the songs were prepared long ago, the poet had set them to beautiful tunes as soon as he composed the lyrics. His 80-year old daughter Smt. Anandi from Mumbai helped us to re-invent these pieces and even provided us the lyrics.
The songs in the Audio CD रंगांतरंग are melodiously sung by Smt.Suma Rajesh, Smt. Jyothy Kamath, Sri.Arun Naik and Kum.Saritha Harikumar. Orchestration is arranged by the famous artist Sri. Himanshu Nanda, who has played on the flute for the songs.
Priced at Rs.50/- per copy, the CD रंगांतरंग will be definitely add to a good collection amongst music and Konkani lovers. To facilitate easy following, printed lyrics of all the 13 songs are also provided alongwith the CD, in both Devanagari and Malayalam scripts.
