In line with the Mission & Vision of PGKF, ‘Jeeva Sankalp’, a book of poetry was released at a Get Together
organised on 6th April 2013. Sri.N.Balakrishna Mallya of Cochin is the author and the book contains 72
poems. The book was selected by Goa Konkani Akademi for financial assistance under their ‘Pailo Chanvar’
Scheme for encouraging young writers to produce their first book.
The first copy of the book was released by Sri.Damodar Mauzo, the noted novelist and short story writer, and
was received by Sri.M. Govindaraj Pai from Thuravoor. Sri.Anand G Kamath presided over the function.
Kum. Medha Rao rendered PGK’s song ‘Deva Tuje’ as prayer.
Sri.R.S.Bhaskar (President, All India Konkani Sammelan) and Sri.Saratchandra Shenoi (Sahitya Akademi Award
Winner) offered felicitations on the occasion. Sri.Payyanur Ramesh Pai welcomed the gathering, and Sri.P.N.
Sivananda Shenoy proposed a Vote of Thanks.
The book has 88 pages and is priced @ Rs.80.00
